Client Details
Our client, a leading regulatory authority, is seeking a Senior/ Legal Counsel to join its Enforcement Division. This role is pivotal in advising on complex enforcement matters, managing investigations, and supporting litigation to uphold regulatory compliance and market integrity.
Description
- Advise on enforcement actions, investigations, and disciplinary proceedings under relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Draft and review enforcement notices, settlement agreements, and related legal documents.
- Conduct internal investigations and prepare reports for senior management and regulatory committees
- Provide legal advice on regulatory obligations, enforcement strategy, and risk mitigation.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting enforcement activities.
- Represent the regulator in hearings, tribunals, and court proceedings as required.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, statutory requirements, and best practices in enforcement processes.
Profile
- Qualified lawyer of HK with 3+ PQE (Candidate with higher PQE can be considered as Senior Legal Counsel)
- Preferably from an international law firm or regulatory body.
- Strong background in commercial litigation, regulatory enforcement, litigation, or investigations.
- Proficent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
