In Hong Kong, we have a thriving domestic competition which we are looking to grow. We also have a strong community programme and undertake a wide range of philanthropic activities via our charitable foundation, Rugby For Good. Our Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens tournament is the jewel in the crown of the HSBC SVNS series and a commercial success that contributes significantly to the funding of the wide range of activities that we undertake. From a representative perspective, both our Men’s and Women’s teams have a strong track record in both the 7s and 15s formats of the game.

About Rugby for Good

Rugby For Good (RFG) is Hong Kong’s first sports-focused charity, partnering with impact-driven organisations to deliver innovative, play-based programmes that use rugby to empower individuals and strengthen communities. Our programmes focus on social emotional learning (SEL) and measurable social development outcomes, helping people connect, play, and grow through sport.

About the Role

We are seeking a professional and responsible Project Manager to oversee the delivery of HK7s community programmes, supporting the growth and sustainability of sport within the community. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact through sport for development.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and coordinate a variety of sports events, athlete talks, and community carnivals, ensuring innovative and engaging experiences for participants.
  • Deliver the sport for development message through all sports events, effectively communicating the positive impact of sport on individuals and communities.
  • Supervise the operations team and oversee administrative functions to ensure smooth programme delivery.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective collaboration and seamless execution of activities.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and track programme activities and outcomes, ensuring objectives are met and impact is measured.
  • Manage programme deliverables and reporting requirements for funders.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing and communications team to ensure consistent and effective brand messaging.
  • Undertake other ad-hoc projects or administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Operations.

Your profile

  • University graduate
  • Relevant management and leadership experience in sports / social services for at least 3 years
  • Working experience with schools / NGOs is a definite advantage.
  • Creative and able to convert ideas to realities.
  • Shows strong organizational skills and leadership qualities.
  • Ability to work with, lead a team.
  • Fluency in English and Cantonese for both verbal and written content.
  • MS office, knowledge with analytics and reporting software and advantage
