Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE) completed a duty visit to Nanjing, hosting seminars to highlight development opportunities in Hong Kong for global talent looking to settle in the city.
At the “Hong Kong: Asia’s Premier Hub for Global Talent” seminar on 20 September, Mr Chris Sun, the Secretary for Labour and Welfare, delivered opening remarks encouraging startups and professionals to leverage Hong Kong's unique advantages and develop in the city. Mr Felix CHAN, the Director of HKTE, outlined the city's talent admission schemes and comprehensive support services. During the panel discussion, industry leaders shared personal experiences of building their careers in Hong Kong, engaging with attendees on key sector trends and opportunities.
On 21 and 22 September, the HKTE delegation visited Nanjing University and Southeast University, eligible universities under the Top Talent Pass Scheme. Representatives conducted seminars to connect directly with graduates, sharing practical insights on career paths and the business ecosystem, as well as experience on integrating into life in Hong Kong.
During the visit to Nanjing, Mr Sun and Mr Chan also attended the opening ceremony of the International (Jiangsu) Conference on the Development of Human Resources Services, where Mr Sun delivered remarks. HKTE also set up a booth at the conference to provide information and support to talent interested in pursuing development in Hong Kong.
