Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE)’s recent seminar, themed as “Unlocking Wealth Management Opportunities in Hong Kong: From Financial Market Insights to Successful Business Establishment”, focused on the city’s financial ecosystem. The session brought together two industry leaders who shared case studies and actionable guidance for job seekers and entrepreneurs.
Mr Philip Lau, the Advisor of Hong Kong Talent & Entrepreneurs Association and Former Managing Director of Wealth Management, UBS China, highlighted core strengths of Hong Kong, including unrestricted capital flow, a strong legal framework, low-tax advantage, and judicial integrity. He also detailed key compliance requirements and operational pathways for building a professional career in wealth management.
Ms Sarah Li, the CEO of EG Asset and the Director of Hong Kong Talent & Entrepreneurs Association explained why Hong Kong is an ideal destination for growing a business. She unpacked opportunities across various talent admission schemes and funding programmes in the city, while sharing lessons from her own entrepreneurial journey to guide aspiring founders.
