Ms Anna Au, the Deputy Director of Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE), delivered opening remarks at the kick-off ceremony of the Hong Kong AI Summit 2026 recently, with HKTE serving as a supporting organisation.
Under the theme “Beyond Borders: Building the Future of AI Together,” the Summit brought together over 220 students from 16 universities in Hong Kong, Netherlands and the globe, offering participants valuable insights into Hong Kong’s AI ecosystem, business applications, and frontier technologies.
In her address, Ms Au highlighted that Hong Kong has taken forward the "AI+" initiative of not only developing the technology, but applying it across different sectors of the society. She also introduced HKTE’s comprehensive support services, which help global talent with diverse backgrounds connect with opportunities in Hong Kong and other cities in the Greater Bay Area.
