Knowledge and skills in apply weather, water depths and related information
Harbour Pilots (Maritime) must be able to direct courses and speeds of ships, based on specialised knowledge of local winds, weather, water depths, tides, currents and hazards.
Minimum Requirements
- A harbour pilot licence issued by Marine Department; Possessed of relevant certificates recognised by ocean going sector and/ or river trade sector; Possessed of Certificate of Competency (Deck Officer) Class 1
- Passed colour vision test
