Knowledge and skills in machinery maintenance
Ship Engineers (Maritime) need to participate in the maintenance of the engine room.
Minimum Requirements
  • A higher diploma in mechanical (marine) engineering or above is usually required
  • Certificates recognised by other countries if the officer is serving on international voyages
  • Pass an eyesight test and undergo a medical examination
