Telecommunications Consultant

Description of Tasks
Telecommunications Consultants evaluate current telecommunications system within companies that include Internet communications as well as voice and video services, proposing recommendations for management and maintenance of telecommunications systems and enhancing the security of the system.
Telecommunications system knowledge and skills
Telecommunications Consultants must be able to evaluate the existing system and propose the new equipment to the management for enhancing the services.
Project management skills
Telecommunications Consultants need to supervise and monitor the implementation of setting up a telecommunications system or network.
Minimum Requirements
  • Normally have a bachelor's degree in telecommunications, electronics, computer science, or related disciplines.  Holders of relevant higher diplomas can articulate to related degree programmes.
  • Corporate members of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) in Information Discipline, or equivalent
  • 4 to 6 years of working experience in telecommunications field
