Job Description

Our client is seeking a seasoned audit professional to lead a small team responsible for conducting financial and operational audits. The successful candidate will evaluate the effectiveness of corporate governance, risk management, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the audit team in planning and executing financial and operational audits.
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of corporate governance, risk management, and internal control systems.
  • Prepare detailed internal audit reports outlining findings and recommendations, and monitor the implementation of agreed-upon action items.
  • Provide coaching and supervision to team members to enhance their professional development.
  • Facilitate improvements in company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Identify organizational risks and exposures, and deliver constructive recommendations for management's consideration.
  • Contribute to the formulation of the annual audit plan and the development of audit programs.
  • Assist in implementing departmental initiatives, including mentoring audit staff.
  • Prepare reports for the Audit Committee as needed.
  • Handle ad hoc assignments as required.

Requirements

  • University degree with recognized professional qualifications; CIA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 15 years of audit experience (both internal and external), preferably acquired from international audit firms and in-house audit functions within diversified conglomerates.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of risk management and internal controls.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with strong analytical abilities and business acumen.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while being well-organized and an effective team player.
  • Proficient in report writing and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua required.
  • Prior experience managing small teams is preferred.
  • Experience in PRC operations is advantageous, with occasional travel to the PRC expected.
