Key Responsibilities

As the Project Manager for Finance Systems, you will be entrusted with driving projects from conception to successful completion. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Project Leadership & Execution: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of finance systems projects in the China market, including scoping, planning, budgeting, execution, and closure. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Enterprise Program Alignment: Collaborate closely with the global and regional Corporate Function PMO to ensure local project workstreams are seamlessly integrated with large-scale enterprise programs and strategic objectives.
  • PIPL & Regulatory Compliance: Act as the subject matter expert for PIPL and other local financial regulations. Embed data privacy and compliance principles into the project lifecycle of all technology implementations, conducting risk assessments and ensuring adherence to legal requirements for data handling and cross-border transfers.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage, influence, and manage communications with a diverse group of stakeholders, including senior leadership in China, global and regional finance heads, global IT teams, legal counsel, and external vendors.
  • Cross-Functional Team Orchestration: Assemble and lead high-performing, cross-functional project teams. Foster a collaborative environment that brings together expertise from Finance, IT, Operations, and other business lines to achieve project goals.
  • Digital Transformation & Innovation: Champion the modernization of our finance operations by identifying opportunities for automation, process re-engineering, and the adoption of new fintech solutions. Drive the implementation of tools that enhance efficiency and provide data-driven insights.
  • Risk Management & Governance: Proactively identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage a robust governance framework for project reporting, issue escalation, and change control.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive project management experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to managing complex finance technology, ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Yardi), or large-scale system implementation projects.
  • Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English (written and verbal) is essential to effectively collaborate with local Chinese teams, regional leadership, and global counterparts.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Deep, demonstrable knowledge of the Chinese regulatory environment. Specific, hands-on experience navigating PIPL (Personal Information Protection Law) compliance requirements within technology projects is mandatory.

Technical Skills:

  • Proven expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet).
  • Strong understanding of core financial processes (e.g., Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report) and the systems that support them.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile (CSM, SAFe) certification is highly desirable. A background or certification in accounting (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a strong plus.
  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in the commercial real estate, property management, or global financial services industries.
  • Transformation Experience: A proven track record of successfully delivering projects as part of a large-scale business transformation or change management program in a multinational corporation.
  • Vendor Management: Experience managing relationships, contracts, and performance of third-party software vendors and implementation partners in the China market.
