Job Description
Our client, a dynamic international organization, is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join its global legal team. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive legal support across the business, ensuring the highest standards of legal and ethical compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and ensure compliance with corporate and statutory laws, including the Hong Kong Companies Ordinance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements.
- Develop and standardize legal documents and group-wide compliance policies.
- Offer practical legal advice and support to various business departments on corporate projects.
- Collaborate with the global legal team and external counsel on compliance issues and new initiatives.
- Analyze legal issues and present clear recommendations to senior management.
- Manage litigation matters and coordinate with external lawyers as needed.
- Monitor and communicate changes in laws and regulations to company leadership.
- Represent the company in dealings with government and statutory authorities.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A law degree and qualification as a Hong Kong solicitor.
- 8-9 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- A background combining in-house and private practice is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Hong Kong corporate and labor laws.
- Exceptional drafting skills with a keen eye for detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Possesses strong commercial acumen and excellent decision-making abilities.
- A proactive, hands-on professional with a "get the job done" attitude.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Cantonese is essential.
