The Role

AVP/VP, Equity Capital Markets, IBD

Key Accountabilities

  • Origination & Client Coverage
    • Equity financing solutions (IPOs, blocks, rights issues etc);
    • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with issuers, boards, and key shareholders across priority sectors (TMT, Healthcare, Consumer, Industrials, New Economy);
    • Lead roadshow &reverse roadshow and PDIE to shape deal strategy.
  • Deal Execution & Project Management
    • Act as execution captain on live transactions: coordinate due-diligence, valuation, marketing, book-building, pricing, stabilization, and settlement;
    • Manage syndicate banks, lawyers, auditors, PR and regulators to ensure deal delivery within tight timelines;
    • Prepare and review all marketing materials, prospectuses, roadshow scripts, and investor Q&A.
  • Investor Relations & Marketing
    • Expand and leverage a robust network of global long-only funds, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, private-equity funds, and strategic/cornerstone investors;
    • Organize targeted investor meetings, non-deal roadshows, and corporate access events

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline;
  • Minimum five years of experience in IBD or ECM with deep expertise in equity-inked transactions; candidates with over 2 years of full time working experience in Hong Kong or overseas is considered as an advantage;
  • Demonstrated success in independently leading and executing IPO underwriting transactions;
  • Communication and relationship-building skills; extensive network across the institutional investor community, with particular strength in covering potential cornerstone investors and strategic/sector-focused funds;
  • To collaborate effectively with sector teams and corporate finance colleagues to drive deal execution and deliver client outcomes;
  • Comprehensive understanding of the regulatory framework, listing rules, and equity capital-markets compliance requirements;
  • Proficient in MS Office, e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc;
  • Good team player with strong problem solving, interpersonal and multitask skills, able to work in fast-paced environment;
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin.
