The Role

Associate/AVP, System Engineer, Information Technology

Key Accountabilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise-level operating systems (Linux/Windows Server), ensuring high availability and security;
• Install, configure, optimize performance, and troubleshoot middleware such as WebLogic, Tomcat, Nginx, Apache, and MQ;
• Develop automation tools using scripting languages like Shell/Python/Ansible to improve operational efficiency;
• Enhance centralized monitoring systems to track production environments in real-time and ensure service stability;
• Analyze system resource usage, perform capacity planning, and dynamic resource allocation to enhance overall performance;
• Respond promptly to IT incidents, service requests, and outages; design disaster recovery solutions based on application requirements to mitigate business risks;
• Strictly enforce infrastructure management policies, technical standards and security protocols to ensure compliance;
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations for emergency incident resolution;
• Complete other tasks assigned by management in a timely manner.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise-level system administration including Operating System & Middleware; candidates with over 2 years of full time working experience in Hong Kong or overseas is considered as an advantage;
• Certifications such as RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer), Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, AWS/Azure/Alicloud Certification, or equivalent are a plus;
• Proven experience in deploying, configuring, Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments;
• Hands-on expertise in middleware platforms (WebLogic, Tomcat, Apache, Nginx) and message queues (MQ);
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Shell, Python, Ansible) for infrastructure management and C/CD pipelines;
• Experience with monitoring tools (Solarwind, Zabbix) and centralized log management;
• Knowledge of virtualization/cloud platforms (VMware, Huawei) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes);
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls, Load Balancers) and security best practices (SSL/TLS, IAM);
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach;
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams;
• Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and handle emergencies;
• Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
