Job Summary:
The Vice President of Cash Equities within the Equities Product Development team assumes a central role in shaping the strategic direction of HKEX's cash equity markets. This position is responsible for assessing the global cash equities trading landscape to identify emerging opportunities and competitive threats, subsequently translating these insights into strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening HKEX's market position and diversifying revenue streams.

The Vice President will formulate and execute actionable plans to deliver these initiatives, collaborating closely with cross-functional project teams to ensure effective execution. The role also encompasses providing comprehensive business intelligence on the HKEX cash equities market, supporting data-driven decision-making and informed strategic planning to further develop the cash equities market.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities: - Contribute to the strategic development of HKEX's cash equities market by identifying global trends, competitive threats, and emerging opportunities

• Formulate and execute actionable initiatives to enhance market positioning and diversify revenue streams
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize and implement cross-functional business initiatives
• Assist in the development of policies and proposals for senior management and regulatory engagement
• Deliver comprehensive business intelligence and market analysis to support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning
• Support Sales and Marketing teams as a subject matter expert on HKEX's cash equities market
• Engage with external stakeholders to promote HKEX's cash market and strengthen relationships with market participants
• Represent HKEX as a thought leader for industry groups, conferences, clients and media

Qualifications: - Has at least 10 years of relevant experience in equities markets, product development, strategy, consulting, or market structure

• Strong understanding of global cash equities trading landscape, market microstructure, and regulatory environment
• Proven track record in developing and executing strategic initiatives within financial markets
• Possess the ability to balance strategic vision with tactical opportunities
• Possess critical problem-solving skills to test hypotheses and validate findings
• Possess strong multi-level communication skills and be able to build working relationships across HKEX and regulators

• Strong commercial mindset and ability to break down barriers to achieve goals
