Assistant / Deputy Financial Markets Analyst (Rate Trading)

Job Description

Responsibilities:- Perform research on global financial markets (stocks, rates, FX, commodities) and macroeconomic trends to support investment decisions.

  • Process financial data using Excel, Bloomberg, or Python; generate reports for internal and client use.
  • Assist in developing financial models under guidance.
  • Monitor fiscal and monetary policies, geopolitical risks, and industry developments affecting market dynamics.
  • Prepare reports and presentations in both English and Chinese; liaise with other teams and clients as needed.

    Requirements: - Bachelors or above level in Finance or related majors; or other qualifications recognized by the bank. CFA/FRM progress is a plus.

  • Minimum 2 years relevant working experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg/Refinitiv; basic knowledge of Python/SQL for data analysis is preferred.
  • Understanding of financial statements, valuation methods, and key drivers of asset classes.
  • Fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese for research and cross-border collaboration.
  • Ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and present insights concisely.
  • Thrive in fast-paced environments, manage multiple tasks, and learn quickly under mentorship; strong interpersonal and communication skills
