Head of IT

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of IT to lead the technology function within the financial services organisation. This role is responsible for shaping and executing the IT strategy, ensuring robust infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital innovation to support business growth and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and manage the IT department, including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and support teams.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure and scalable technology systems.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives, including cloud migration, automation, and data analytics.
• Ensure compliance with financial industry regulations (e.g., HKMA, MAS, GDPR) and internal governance standards.
• Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify technology opportunities that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Establish and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

• Monitor emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the organisation.

  Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of financial systems, cybersecurity frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven track record in leading digital transformation and managing complex IT environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), core banking systems, and enterprise architecture is a plus.
