We are currently looking for a System Engineer (Data Centre Relocation Project) for one of our sizeable in-house clients.

Your new role

  • Execute data centre relocation projects, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth transition.
  • Perform server administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of physical and virtual servers.
  • Install and configure network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN appliances.
  • Set up and manage IP addressing, VLANs, VWAN switching, and related network protocols.
  • Design and implement network and server protocols for new data centre environments.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and security of infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with company standards and best practices.

    What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in system engineering or infrastructure roles.
  • Proven experience in data centre relocation and migration projects.
  • Strong knowledge of server administration (Windows/Linux) and virtualization technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with network configuration (IP, VPN, VLAN, VWAN).
  • Familiarity with network security protocols and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, VMware) are a plus.
