Our client, an international investment bank with global offices, is actively seeking an experienced Business Analyst/Project Manager to join their front office equities technology team in Hong Kong.
The role:
Serve as a subject matter expert and business liaison between the front office trading teams and the technology/engineering teams responsible for electronic trading systems and infrastructure.
Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from traders, quants, and other stakeholders for new electronic trading capabilities, enhancements, and optimizations.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical designs, working closely with the engineering team to ensure accurate implementation.
Serve as a subject matter expert on exchange rules, market microstructure, and regulatory requirements impacting electronic trading.
Participate in industry working groups and stay up-to-date on electronic trading trends and best practices.
What you offer:
5+ years working as a Business Analyst within an investment bank or hedge fund.
In-depth understanding of order management systems and exchange connectivity
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and technology teams.
Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, such as Excel, Python, SQL, and Tableau.
Knowledge of exchange rules, market regulations, and compliance requirements related to electronic trading.
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
Experience in dealing with Asian markets (both developed and emerging) in terms of exchange rules, market conventions/constraints, and workflows.
