We are looking for a reporter who will help expand our Chinese credit coverage. You will be responsible for breaking news on high-profile corporate funding plans in the debt capital markets including with loans. You will also leverage your expertise and network to report on broader trends in borrowing and capital flows across the region. Your stories will explain fast-moving developments that impact Chinese corporate finance as well as the emerging risks in the world's second-largest debt market.

Through regular engagement with company executives, bankers, traders, fund managers, and policymakers, the ideal candidate will be expected to balance breaking news coverage with the production of insightful, in-depth feature stories, offering value to both credit market specialists and general readers.

We'll trust you to:

• Contribute to our coverage of credit through both short- and long-form stories
• Recognize and work on big theme stories and ideas
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the newsroom

• Be able to write and present information across multiple formats

  You'll need to have:

• At least 5 years of experience as a business reporter
• Experience in a real-time breaking news environment, ideally covering credit market in Greater China and Asia
• Proven experience to build sources and break news in financial markets
• A track record of team work and collaboration
• An ability to write quickly, concisely and accurately under tight deadline
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Mandarin

• Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
