Job Description

We're looking for a skilled Data Governance Manager to support one of our largest banking clients.

Your new role

  • Lead data management and control efforts, including policy development, data quality assurance, and stewardship to ensure reliable, compliant data usage
  • Initiate and establish AI governance frameworks, defining ethical guidelines, risk assessments, and integration strategies for AI tools in banking operations
  • Design, implement, and maintain an internal control framework to monitor data lineage, security, and compliance, aligning with banking standards and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct data audits, risk assessments, and quality improvement initiatives, addressing vulnerabilities and ensuring adherence to banking regulations.
  • Collaborate with team sub-units to foster a culture of data accountability, providing training and guidance on governance tools and processes.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 3+ years of experience in data governance or management (Preferably in banking or financial services)
  • Proven background in setting up internal control frameworks and initiating governance programs, including AI-related initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills: Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings, coordinating diverse teams, and creating presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint, data visualization software).
  • Knowledge of risk management and banking regulations (e.g., GDPR, Basel standards) is a significant plus.
  • Familiarity with data tools (e.g., catalogs, quality platforms) and AI governance principles.
