We are looking for a Lead Engineer to join the Trading Engineering group within the Trading Product Engineering division in our Financial Services organization and to lead back-end development of applications, frameworks, and tools critical to the development and operation of Bullish.

A successful applicant for this role will have experience designing and building components/modules and framework for high performance trading engine. This is a hands-on technical development role, but as a Lead Software Engineer they would also be expected to demonstrate leadership skills and an ability and willingness to mentor team members in addition to possessing technical and trading product proficiencies.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java applications
• Solid tradefi product functional domain understanding for SPOT and Derivative markets
• Implement performance and quality modules.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Working as part of a Global (HK, SG) team.
• Keep themselves updated with latest technologies

• Mentor team members and demonstrate on what good looks like across the organization

  Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience as a Java backend engineer.
• Must have worked on trading technologies in front office execution side
• Experience with Java 17+ is required. Candidates must show mastery in important
• classes/packages in the JDK especially but not limited to Java Collections and Concurrency.
• Hand-on experience working on low latency systems
• Strong understanding of data-structures and algorithm
• Have designed and architected trading systems in past
• Hands-on familiarity with popular Java Frameworks such as Spring/Micronaut; Familiarity with
• testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, Powemock is a must.
• Strong understanding of TDD and BDD development approaches, able to write thorough
• unit-test cases
• Solid understanding on some of the trading products like SPOT market, Futures and Options
• Computer Science or related degree with 10+ years of experience, preferably in an environment
• where latency and speed are factors (e.g., finance)
• Good hands on git (github), Docker, Kubernetes, JIRA, Confluence,
• Good understanding of messaging technologies such as Kafka, Rabbit MQ, Solace, etc.

• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices.

  Bonus Experience:

• Familiarity with Typescript.
• Familiarity with crypto.

• Familiarity with GCP
