Job Description

Aberdeen Kai-fong Welfare Association (AKA) is a non-profit organisation that actively provides multi-faceted integrated services and serving people of different ages with the clear vision of striving for excellence and developing a sustainable society. AKA has formulated a 10-year development blueprint in 2020 for the sustainable development of public value. Social Service, Education Service and Health Service are the three pillars of services contributing to the public value.
We are seeking high-calibred and dedicated candidates who are interested to accept the challenge of operating the Southern District Health Centre (SDHC) in line with the government policy and AKA’s strategic development by joining our multi-disciplinary team and meeting the healthcare needs of the residents in the Southern community. The DHC is a primary healthcare initiative of the Government. Through public-private partnership, medical-social collaboration, it provides district-based primary healthcare services which comprise comprehensive Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Prevention programmes targeting community members of varying ages and needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist Executive Director to formulate Southern District Health Centre’s policy, service and working direction;
  • Oversee and manage the provision and development of healthcare service in Southern District Health Centre;
  • Monitor the service quality of healthcare service and achieve the target deliverables of primary health care services delivered at Southern District Health Centre;
  • Serve as the nursing chief to manage and monitor the Healthcare Team in Southern District Health Centre;
  • Prepare protocols for professional services and treatments;
  • Responsible for the liaison and recruitment of the health care service providers and community organizations;
  • Supervise and coach healthcare professionals;
  • Plan staff training and development programmes; and
  • Prepare statistical reports, work progress reports, annual business plan and budget plan, and annual report.

Requirement:

  • Holder of valid Registered Nurse practicing certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong;
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related discipline;
  • A Master’s Degree is considered an advantage;
  • Minimum 10 aggregate years of experience in nursing practice as Registered Nurse and minimum 5 years of management experience within the 15 years immediately prior to the submission of this application;
  • Strong interpersonal, coordination and organizational skill; able to handle multi tasks effectively to meet tight schedules;
  • Proficiency in PC applications (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint) and Chinese & English Word Processing;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • Excellent in spoken and written English and Chinese.
