Ocean Park Corporation invites applications from suitable candidates to fill the following vacancy:
We are seeking for an experienced Assistant Quality Assurance Manager to join the Merchandising Team of Retail Operations Department in Ocean Park. The incumbent will report to the Merchandising Manager and be responsible to handle the quality assurance issues of products and services managed under the department.
• Implement quality management plans with QA/QC standards according to the related procedures & policies of the department and ensure that the related records and documentation are kept up-to-date and maintained accurately.
• Review product samples in terms of workmanship, construction, compliance with US/EU norms/standards/directive. Provide technical support and handle problem solving actively with test lab, suppliers and merchandising team
• Review and complete essential documentation such as test reports, Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), Safety Data Sheet (SDS), etc. to ensure compliance with the Toy Safety Directive Technical files.
• Check artwork, IM, labels in terms of legal compliances & accuracy of technical specification.
• Assist in developing the group quality standards, guidelines, test methods and inspection checklists
• Define product specifications, acceptance criteria, test plan and control protocol
• Evaluate and monitor suppliers’ quality performance to ensure the products supplied to the Park are manufactured with consistency and with high quality.
• Request and conduct quality improvement plans with suppliers based on the findings from product inspection or customer feedback.
• Perform external auditing on suppliers & sub-contractors to ensure their product standards comply with the Park quality standards
• Conduct defect analysis, execute corrective and preventive actions with suppliers
• Implement internal product inspection and random product testing and prepare regular QA inspection reports
• Make recommendations on quality issues to the management
• Any other ad-hoc task or duties as required.
Requirements
• Degree in Quality Management or related disciplines
• 3 to 5 years in laboratory experience and relevant quality control experience in toys industry
• Strong knowledge of product quality control of plastic toys, electronic toys and soft toys
• Familiarity with ASTM/EU toys safety standard
• Good communication and negotiation skill to work with suppliers
• Good analytical skill and problem solving skill
• Knowledge in Quality tools to drive quality improvement and enhancement
• Well organized, proactive, strong team player and willing to take initiatives and make positive changes
• Work independently, prioritize tasks and manage multi-tasking under pressure
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin
• Immediate availability is preferred
