The Opportunity: Regional Production Director

Role Summary

• You will lead strategic vendor relationships and oversee production operations across APAC.
• You will design and implement production strategies, manage capacity and inventory, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• This role demands strong leadership, analytical expertise, and exceptional communication skills, combined with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain systems.

Position Overview

• This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for end-to-end vendor management and production management across China & APAC region.
• As the cornerstone of our supply chain, you will ensure manufacturing partners deliver exceptional quality, on-time, and at optimal cost.
• You will architect regional production strategies, strengthen vendor partnerships, optimize our manufacturing footprint, and inspire a high-performing team to achieve new levels of operational excellence.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree holder
• 10+ years of progressive experience in production control, supply chain, and vendor management in toys or consumer products
• Proven success in building and leading high-performing teams
• Strong knowledge of global manufacturing processes and international supply chain dynamics
• Experience negotiating and managing third-party inspection/auditing firms
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Willingness to travel frequently across China and APAC region

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage production control and vendor management in China & APAC region
• Develop and execute production control strategies to ensure on-time shipments and optimal capacity utilization
• Establish and lead the Production Control Team to monitor vendor reporting, audit data, and grade performance
• Implement robust systems for forecasting, planning, and monitoring production capacity across all sites
• Collaborate with product development, engineering, quality assurance, and legal teams to embed operational excellence
• Negotiate agreements with third-party inspection/auditing firms, securing dedicated personnel across China & APAC region
• Build and implement a vendor management framework with clear performance metrics and corrective action plans
• Oversee vendor contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions
• Conduct regular factory monitoring with Team members, documenting production status and risks
