Job Description

CMB Wing Lung Bank Limited is a Licensed Bank registered in Hong Kong, which is formerly known as Wing Lung Bank. Founded on 25th February 1933, CMB Wing Lung Bank is among the oldest local Chinese banks in Hong Kong. In 2008, CMB Wing Lung Bank was acquired by China Merchants Bank (CMB). In 2009, the Bank has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of CMB. In 2018, the Bank has renamed as CMB Wing Lung Bank.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead an investigation team to conduct comprehensive reviews and submit Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to relevant local law enforcement authorities, ensuring compliance with AML/CFT legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, update, and maintain transaction monitoring policies and procedures to align with regulatory standards and the Bank's risk appetite.
  • Provide internal training on transaction monitoring and suspicious transaction reporting to enhance team knowledge and compliance.
  • Execute ad-hoc tasks as assigned to support the management and department's objectives.
  • Analyze suspicious activity and transaction reports to identify AML/CFT risk trends, facilitating informed actions to strengthen AML/CFT controls.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the bank, the Joint Financial Intelligence Unit (JFIU), and/or other law enforcement agencies.
  • Prepare and manage reporting to senior management and regulators regarding transaction monitoring and management information related to suspicious transaction reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Law, Risk Management or related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in post-transaction monitoring in banking industry / FIs
  • ECF-AML Core Level
  • Familiar with statutory and regulatory requirements in transaction monitoring and STR matters
  • Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Self-initiative, able to work independently and under pressure
  • Good written and communications skills in English, Putonghua and Cantonese
