The role:

  • Manage external law firms and liaise with insurer claim handlers, serving as the central point of coordination to drive claims toward efficient and cost-effective resolution
  • Serve as the primary legal point of contact of insurance related matters for internal departments
  • Conduct training for colleagues including bus captains and inspectors on critical topics like evidence preservation, proper incident documentation
  • Assist in designing and placing of the company’s insurance programs
  • Scrutinize policy wordings, terms and exclusions during renewal to ensure optimal coverage for the company’s risk profile
  • Advise on adherence to law and regulations including data privacy

Skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Laws or related disciplines
  • Hong Kong qualified lawyer
  • At least 2 years’ Post-Qualified Experience
  • Familiar with the handling procedures regarding civil litigation, direct and pre-action settlements with claimants and/or claimants’ solicitors and/or claimants’ insurers
  • Experience in handling contentious matters is a plus
  • Good negotiation and communication skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Good command of both spoken and written Chinese and Mandarin is an advantage
