Client Details

Our client is a leading global firm specializing in compliance solutions for the technology and consumer goods sectors. Their team supports innovative companies in navigating complex regulatory landscapes to ensure seamless international operations. They are seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Manager to join their dynamic team, focusing on consumer electronics and telecommunications products.

Description

  • Develop and implement trade compliance programs tailored to consumer electronics and telecommunications, ensuring adherence to U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and other global trade laws.
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and classifications (e.g., ECCN/HTS) for products involving hardware, software, and related technologies.
  • Manage import/export licensing, documentation, and customs processes, including coordination with government agencies like BIS, OFAC, and CBP.
  • Provide expert guidance on sanctions, embargoes, and anti-boycott regulations, mitigating risks in supply chain and distribution channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., legal, supply chain, R&D) to integrate compliance into product development and market entry strategies.
  • Train internal stakeholders on trade compliance best practices and monitor emerging regulatory changes in the electronics and telecom industries.
  • Handle investigations, voluntary disclosures, and corrective actions for any compliance issues.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field;
  • 7+ years of experience in trade compliance, ideally within the consumer electronics, telecommunications, or high-tech manufacturing sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of global trade regulations, including experience with restricted party screening, valuation, and origin determination.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in compliance software/tools (e.g., SAP GTS, Oracle GTM) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
