Job Description

A culmination of the group’s differentiated approach to luxury hospitality, Rosewood Hong Kong is the newest global icon for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts®. At the epicentre of the Victoria Dockside arts and cultural district, Rosewood Hong Kong features 322 rooms and 91 suites in Rosewood’s high-residential style, including 18 specialty suites and 186 Rosewood Residences, designed to accommodate longer stays. A new centre of gravity on the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, Rosewood Hong Kong’s numerous bars and restaurants will create a vibrant gastronomic hub, showcasing unique concepts which convey Rosewood’s signature, innovative approach to intimate, casual and lively dining. The first urban outpost of Asaya will feature integrative wellness, fitness and spa facilities, debuting a unique gastronomic concept that emphasises wellbeing at its core.

The Director of Marketing and Communications is a brand lead for Rosewood Hong Kong developing a holistic strategy to position Rosewood as a luxury lifestyle leader and implement the brand marketing communications, brand events and digital content plan and is passionate to be creative and has experience in managing content creation, planning and production. This also includes building synergistic luxury partnerships and creating awareness for the property to showcase the hotel as a lifestyle destination, including 413 Hotel Rooms and Suites; 186 Residences; 12 bars and restaurants; Asaya Spa and Retail.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Report directly to the Complex Director of Sales & Marketing, with close collaboration with the Rosewood Corporate Office
  • Be responsible for spearheading strategic direction, initiatives, planning, coordination and management of the hotel’s integrated marketing, public relations, and communications
  • Create and communicate the hotel’s messages and ensure overall continuity of hotel brand consistency and image
  • Coordinate media interest in the hotel and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests
  • Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing/communications/public relations program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant working experience in a sizeable luxury hotel with at least 3 years in a similar capacity
  • Extensive experience in luxury lifestyle within the region in retail, travel, entertainment, and agencies would be advantageous
  • Business proficient in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
  • Ideally located in Hong Kong, or a candidate who has had previous experience in Hong Kong and is able to relocate
  • Have the knowledge, connections and relationships to understand the culture of Hong Kong, relationships with the local community, media and society
