Client Details

Our client, a leading regulatory authority, is seeking a Senior/ Legal Counsel to join its Enforcement Division. This role is pivotal in advising on complex enforcement matters, managing investigations, and supporting litigation to uphold regulatory compliance and market integrity.

Description

  • Advise on enforcement actions, investigations, and disciplinary proceedings under relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Draft and review enforcement notices, settlement agreements, and related legal documents.
  • Conduct internal investigations and prepare reports for senior management and regulatory committees
  • Provide legal advice on regulatory obligations, enforcement strategy, and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting enforcement activities.
  • Represent the regulator in hearings, tribunals, and court proceedings as required.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, statutory requirements, and best practices in enforcement processes.

Profile

  • Qualified lawyer of HK with 3+ PQE (Candidate with higher PQE can be considered as Senior Legal Counsel)
  • Preferably from an international law firm or regulatory body.
  • Strong background in commercial litigation, regulatory enforcement, litigation, or investigations.
  • Proficent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
