Senior Accountant

In this position, you will:

• Prepare accounting entries for the general ledger, month-end closing, and reporting
• Prepare monthly management accounts (using the designated format) for submission to head office within the given deadline
• Prepare balance sheet and P&L schedules, perform reconciliations, and follow up on any unusual items
• Work closely with other business departments to provide accounting advice
• Participate in statutory, internal, and interim audits; liaise with auditors regarding audit account inquiries
• Assist in improving accounting processes and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency
• Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as required

To be successful in this position, you should meet the following requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a business-related discipline
• Over 4 years of relevant working experience with solid knowledge of international accounting standards and practices
• Proactive, independent, persistent, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Strong knowledge of accounting software; proficiency in MS Excel/Word, with Macro/MS Access preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines
• Experience in supervising and providing guidance to junior staff
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
• Immediate availability is preferred
