Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise and manage major company events in physical, hybrid or virtual formats. Devise strategic implementation plan.
- Strategic planning implementation to create an integrated event experience. Curate programmes and activities to align Cyberport’s public missions and to enhance its position and brand as thought leadership and industry voice in the region.
- Provide full support on wide spectrum of event management including but not limited to project scheduling, speaker co-ordination, programme development, stage management, promotion and advertising, marketing collaterals, stage production, manpower management, onsite logistics, as well as market research and procurement.
- Source and incorporate innovative event elements to enhance traction and attendee experience, including digital/stage gimmicks, interactive games, incentives, event platforms/solutions etc.
- Drive attendance and positive publicity through integrated marketing & communications to achieve best synergies, incl. event content marketing and distribution via effective channels for maximum audience engagement & impact.
- Explore, solicit and follow up potential collaborations, partnerships and sponsorships opportunities for better event synergy.
- Liaise and work closely with different business units, agencies/vendors, Government or public bodies and industry organisations
Qualifications
- Degree in marketing, communications, event management, public relations or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in corporate/event management, event production & marketing, corporate communications, marketing communication and / or public relations with hands-on experience in physical, hybrid and virtual events ideally from sizable organization/public bodies and preferably from technology sector
- Strong event and project management skills, especially hybrid events
- Good understanding of technicality & acumen on integrated event platforms, registration and EDM systems and virtual event setup
- A fast mover and strategic thinker with who possess new normal agility with excellent efficiency and strategic focus
- A relationship-builder and team player with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
- Good organisational skills, detail-oriented and multi-tasking capabilities
- Able to work effectively under pressure and deliver high quality work under tight deadlines/ schedules
- A self-motivated team player, agile with strong can-do attitude
- All-round experience & proven track record in planning and managing large scale industry conference and events a must
- Knowledge and experience in hybrid/ virtual events, event platforms/technologies, creative digital elements, stage management, cross-platform marketing and user experience is essential
- Connection with industry associations, chambers of commerce, tech organisations, public bodies for potential collaborations and/or speakers invitations a plus.
The position is on a 12-month temporary contract, renewal depends on performance and operation needs
