Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the appointee will mainly perform the following duties:
To assist the Chief Engineer in preparation and execution of projects/works
To assist in planning, permitting, preparation of conceptual design, budget, programme and technical
specification for the power development projects
To perform tender evaluations and make recommendations
To monitor the programme, safety and quality control throughout various project execution stages from
design, audit, construction, testing and commissioning to completion of works
To participate in working level meetings with internal and external parties
To liaise with relevant internal parties, contractors and other external parties to address and resolve
environmental, quality, health and safety, and interfacing issues, as well as to ensure compliance with legal
and statutory requirements and other project objectives
To perform inspection, supervision and coordination works at site
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant working experience and with Corporate Membership of the HKIE
Solid knowledge in power system including process and machinery and related design standards
Familiar with relevant local and international regulations, procedures, standards and codes of practice
Knowledge in project engineering, coordination and contract administration
Holder of a valid class 1 and 2 driving license an advantage
Proficient in computer applications such as MS Office, AutoCAD, BIM, etc.
Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written
Candidate with less relevant experience and/or lower qualifications may be consider Project Engineer II, Engineer I or Engineer II.
This is a 2-year contract position. Renewal of contract or appointment as a member is subject to the Company’s business needs and the performance of the individual.
Working Location: Admiralty / Lamma Island, transportation to be provided
