Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE) has recently visited New Zealand to connect with top global talent. Led by Mr Felix Chan, the Director of HKTE, a delegation of I&T and professional services leaders engaged with industry professionals and local students at the University of Auckland (UoA), an eligible university under the Top Talent Pass Scheme.
HKTE showcased career opportunities in Hong Kong at the “University of Auckland 2026 Internship and Graduate Expo” while co-hosting the "Hong Kong: Asia's Premier Hub for Global Talent" seminar alongside the Hong Kong New Zealand Business Association. Ms Nat Ip, the Manager, Startup Programme Management of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, and Mr Jeremy Brown, the Founder & CEO of Insyteful, shared key insights into career pathways across the I&T and professional services sectors, as well as the robust support available for startups in Hong Kong. Additionally, Mr Daniel Neville, the Director of Event Technology for Encore Event Technologies Hong Kong, shared his experience moving from New Zealand to Hong Kong, providing actionable tips for cultural integration and highlighting the immense rewards of advancing a career in the city. These engagements effectively showcased how Hong Kong's dynamic environment empowers global talent and founders.
The delegation also met with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, toured the Unleash Space at UoA Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and connected with rising local entrepreneurs. The delegation is now heading to Melbourne and Sydney to continue showcasing career opportunities to professionals across Australia!
