HKTE invited talent to a Mid-Autumn Festival volunteer activity held at the Blue House

Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE) launched the “Talent+ Volunteer Programme” in September last year to encourage incoming talent to actively participate in volunteer services, enabling them to better understand the community and foster interaction with local residents.

As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, HKTE collaborated with St.James’ Settlement and the Viva Blue House to invite over 30 talent to a festival volunteer activity held at the Grade I historic building in Hong Kong, the Blue House. During the event, the participating talent joined hands with locals to craft and assemble traditional lanterns that were used to decorate the Blue House, as well as its adjacent Lee Tung Street and Stone Nullah Lane, enriching the festive ambience in the community.

The participating talent expressed that the activity was highly meaningful, adding that it helped them experience Hong Kong's festive traditions and expand their social networks through interactive activities. They look forward to joining more volunteer programmes in the future to contribute to Hong Kong society.

Ms Anna Au, the Deputy Director of HKTE interacted with the talent volunteers and locals during the event, viewing these active exchanges as a strong demonstration of community integration. HKTE will continue to collaborate with various organisations in providing diverse opportunities for volunteer service, further supporting incoming talent settling in Hong Kong.
