Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE) organised four "Global Online Career Fairs" (The Fair) this year, featuring one-to-one live chats to facilitate connections between global talent and Hong Kong employers, enabling them to explore career opportunities in Hong Kong.
Through the Fair, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) successfully recruited Abhishek Sengupta, an I&T talent who relocated from Singapore to Hong Kong. After participating in the July edition, he received his appointment in August, and subsequently relocated and onboarded in mid-October. He shared that the recruitment process was thoughtfully designed as it allowed overseas talent to connect and engage directly with Hong Kong employers.
Paul Hotchan, Head of Talent Acquisition of HKJC, shared that the live chat sessions at the Fair effectively enabled a deeper engagement between the Club and global talent with unique skill sets to complement our existing capabilities. The sessions also allowed the company to share its corporate culture and core values, ensuring optimal matches between qualified candidates and suitable positions.
