Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE) recently completed a visit to the Netherlands from 10 - 16 April with a delegation of industry experts from I&T, finance, sports and entertainment sectors. The delegation delivered six seminars and participated in two careers fairs to highlight the boundless opportunities awaiting global talent in Hong Kong.
During visits to six eligible universities under the Top Talent Pass Scheme, Mr Felix Chan, the Director of HKTE, promoted Hong Kong’s advantages and opportunities and encouraged them to pursue their development here. Our guest speakers also shared insights throughout the sessions. Ir Eric Chan, the Chief Public Mission Officer of Hong Kong Cyberport Hong Kong, highlighted the city’s innovation ecosystem as a launchpad for talent. Mr Chris Wright, Executive Manager of Talent Acquisition at The Hong Kong Jockey Club, shared his insights on talent development for overseas talent, while Mr Wouter Knecht, Head of Commercial Development at Transamerica Life Bermuda drew on his own cross‑cultural career journey to inspire talent to consider building their futures in Hong Kong.
HKTE’s participation in career fairs stood out as another major highlight. HKTE’s booth at Leiden University and the AIESEC in the Netherlands International Talent Event Amsterdam drew strong interest from talent eager to learn about Hong Kong’s talent admission schemes and HKTE’s one-stop support services.
The delegation also exchanged views with representatives of the Netherlands Hong Kong Business Association and JCI The Netherlands, over 20 Chinese students and scholars in the Netherlands, and innovation and technology enterprises at a start-up campus in Amsterdam.
We are excited for what's next and can't wait to meet more talent along the way and show them why Hong Kong is Asia’s Premier Hub for global talent to work, live, and thrive. Follow HKTE for our upcoming talent engagement events!
