Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE) hosted the themed seminar “Education: Guide to Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (DSE) and University Pathways” today.
During the session, Mr Cao Chun Sheng, Rick, elaborated on the curriculum framework of the DSE, emphasising that the DSE is not merely a public examination, but also a journey of exploration. He shared practical advice on “Secondary 3 Subject Choices”, guiding parents to help their children plan future career directions, understand university prerequisites, as well as match their personal strengths and interests to choose the most suitable subject combinations. In addition, he introduced the multi-faceted post-DSE pathways available to DSE candidates.
Mr Jeff Zeng analysed global university admission trends, highlighting how incoming talent families can leverage DSE results when applying to overseas universities. He compared the strategic differences between JUPAS admissions and overseas pathways, offering practical tips to help families map out local and overseas study timelines beginning in Secondary 3.
The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session where Mr Cao Chun Sheng, Rick, Mr Jeff Zeng, and Ms Haily Xiao shared practical advice on adapting to Hong Kong's education system, helping talent families prepare for their children's future education in Hong Kong.
