Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE) successfully hosted the “Hong Kong: A World of Opportunities” seminar yesterday at Peking University, providing students and alumni with insights into Hong Kong’s financial industry outlook, entrepreneurship opportunities, and ongoing efforts to support talent.
Mr Felix Chan, the Director of HKTE, highlighted Hong Kong's role as a global talent hub and a "super-connector" linking the Chinese Mainland with overseas markets. He outlined the diverse opportunities and competitive advantages under the "One Country, Two Systems" principle, introduced various talent admission schemes and the one-stop support services provided by HKTE to assist talent in advancing careers in Hong Kong.
Mr Arnold Chow, General Manager of the Personal Digital Banking Product Department at Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited, shared emerging trends and career pathways in Hong Kong’s financial and banking sector, highlighting the city’s dynamic development and growing demand for skilled professionals. He also observed the comprehensive support in banking, housing, and wealth management effectively support talent in establishing their lives in the city.
Mr Liu Chang, Executive Chairman of the Hong Kong Talent Entrepreneurs Association Limited, presented the diverse entrepreneurial and innovation opportunities in Hong Kong, introduced Hong Kong’s unique advantages and available subsidy programmes for startups to raise capital and recruit top talent. He also encouraged students to explore the city’s vibrant startup ecosystem.
