The opening ceremony of the "Qianhai Block V” International Talent Innovation and Exchange Centre took place yesterday. The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Chan Kwok-ki, delivered a video address to mark the event. The Under Deputy Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Ho Kai-ming and the Acting Director, Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE), Ms Anna Au, attended the ceremony.
To take forward the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Qianhai and Hong Kong in June this year, Qianhai Authority and HKTE jointly launched at the event the “Shenzhen-Hong Kong 72-Hour Experience Pass” (Experience Pass) to engage distinguished professionals, innovation and technology (I&T) talent as well as emerging talent. This programme aims to invite prominent talent worldwide to Shenzhen and Hong Kong to explore and understand the opportunities and strengths in I&T ecosystem, industrial development, ancillary facilities and policy support here. The itinerary includes visits to leading universities, I&T zones, and world-class technology companies in both cities.
The launch of the Experience Pass will further strengthen talent exchange and collaboration, resource sharing, and innovation synergy between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The complementary strengths and close collaboration of the two cities will jointly enhance their appeal to top-notch international talent, thereby contributing to the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area into a national high-calibre talent hub.
