Mr Felix Chan, the Director of Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE), and Ms Anna Au, the Deputy Director of HKTE, recently visited Nansha and Xi’an respectively to promote talent resource sharing and collaborative development between Hong Kong and Nansha. These visits further implement Memorandum of Understanding signed between HKTE and the Management Committee of Guangzhou Nansha Economic and Technological Development Zone (the Committee) on 3 June 2025.
In early November, Mr Chan visited Nansha to explore joint talent recruitment initiatives that align with key industry needs of both regions. The discussions with representatives of the Committee focused on establishing collaborative talent exchange platforms, strengthening the high-calibre talent pool of the region, and supporting the development of the Greater Bay Area as an leading talent hub.
Ms Au then participated in the recruitment event at Xi'an Jiaotong University at the Committee's invitation. She introduced Hong Kong's talent admission schemes during the presentation and hosted a booth to engage with students interested in developing their careers in Hong Kong. Additionally, she held separate meetings with university representatives and Shaanxi Provincial officials to explore potential talent collaboration between Hong Kong and Xi'an, further consolidating Hong Kong's role as a country’s gateway for talent.
