The Director of Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE), Mr Felix Chan, held two inspiring virtual exchanges this week for students and alumni from Rotman Commerce and Rotman School of Management of the University of Toronto, as well as students from Duke University and the Ivy League Schools, discussing Hong Kong as the best place to work, live, and thrive.
Mr Chan highlighted Hong Kong’s unparalleled advantages and its streamlined talent admission schemes. Rotman alumna Ms Elaine Zhou, a Financial Services Consultant at Capco, joined to share her firsthand experience of building a successful career in Hong Kong as an incoming talent under Top Talent Pass Scheme, offering invaluable insights into the city’s unique professional edge and tips for settling in this vibrant city. Duke alumnus Alberto Najarro, now a Financial Services Associate at PwC Hong Kong, shared a compelling real-life account of his career progression and seamless integration into the Hong Kong community.
Students raised excellent questions on career transitions and visa pathways, while the sessions offered them a highly practical understanding of the city’s strategic advantages and accelerated career paths.
