Mr Chris Sun, the Secretary for Labour and Welfare and Mr Felix Chan, the Director of Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE), participated in a seminar about talent admission schemes, which is co-organised by the DAB Talent Hub and the Hong Kong Immigration Department. The event aimed to provide incoming and settled talent with an overview and practical advice on visa application and renewal procedures.
Dr Starry Lee, the President of the Legislative Council and DAB Honorary Advisor, joined Mr Sun in addressing the audience. Mr Sun stated that the only official channel for visa renewal is through the Immigration Department, and reminded talent to be cautious of unscrupulous intermediaries and never submit fraudulent employment or academic credentials. During the event, the Immigration Department representatives shared practical advice on visa applications and renewals using real-life cases.
