Following the successful hosting of the first and second edition of "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) High-quality Talent Development Conference" in Guangzhou and Hong Kong respectively, the third edition is hosted by Macao from October 22 to 25 at Cotai Expo, The Venetian Macao.
Mr Cheuk Wing-hing, the Deputy Chief Secretary for Administration, delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony, highlighting Hong Kong’s unique advantage of having strong support from the Motherland while being closely connected to the world under the “One Country, Two Systems”. Hong Kong continues to serve as an international hub, fostering regional collaboration and expanding talent networks to empower the nation’s high-quality development.
Mr Chris Sun, the Secretary for Labour and Welfare, also officiated at the opening ceremony, accompanied by Mr Felix Chan, the Director of Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE). They toured the “Thematic Talent Expo”. At the seminar, Mr Chan shared Hong Kong’s experience and role in attracting and nurturing talent, and welcomed talent to develop their careers in Hong Kong.
HKTE set up a booth and collaborated with industry representatives and enterprises to promote Hong Kong’s talent admission schemes. They engaged directly with attendees and introduced career opportunities in sectors such as fintech, banking, and telecommunications to encourage talent settling in Hong Kong.
