The event provided participants with valuable insights into the sector’s overall landscape, including career progression opportunities, challenges, and emerging industry trends.

Dr Barry Wong, Director of Talent and Education Committee at the Hong Kong China Network Security Association, shared the latest developments and employment prospects in this industry. He also offered practical tips on pre-employment preparation and skills required to help individuals thrive as cybersecurity professionals in Hong Kong.

Ms Veronica Wang, Member of Data Privacy Committee at the Hong Kong China Network Security Association, shared her story of transformation from language studies background into the cybersecurity industry. She discussed, through her personal experience, the challenges incoming talent need to overcome and encouraged participants to be open-minded for changes.
