The Hong Kong Talent List covers 60 in-demand professions across 9 industry segments, highlighting the professional roles expected to be in high demand in the coming years and reflecting the opportunities available in the city's job market. Among these segments, the innovation and technology (I&T) sector has become a prime destination for international tech talent. According to the Census and Statistics Department, the city's gross domestic expenditure on research and development (GERD) reached HK$35,772 million in 2024, up 8% year-on-year.
