Following the successful visit to Auckland, Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE) has concluded its visit to Melbourne and Sydney, Australia. Led by Mr Felix Chan, the Director of HKTE, the delegation focused on introducing Hong Kong’s vibrant innovation ecosystems and engaging with top young professionals directly with Hong Kong's diverse development opportunities.
Co-hosting two Startup Roundtable sessions alongside Invest Hong Kong and Wholesale Investor in Melbourne and Sydney, HKTE connected local start-up representatives in biotech, deep tech, life sciences, and emerging sectors with key delegation members, including Ms @Nat Ip, the Manager, Startup Programme Management of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, Mr Jeremy Brown, the Founder & CEO of Insyteful, and Mr Daniel Neville, the Director of Event Technology for Encore Event Technologies Hong Kong, offering them valuable insights into navigating Hong Kong's venture funding landscape, leveraging incubation support, and utilising the city as a springboard into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The delegation hosted four seminars and participated in two job fairs across four eligible universities under Top Talent Pass Scheme: Monash University, the University of Melbourne, University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney. These sessions offered young professionals practical guidance on career opportunities, talent admission schemes, and intin Hong Kong. Additionally, the delegation toured the Monash Innovation Lab and Food Innovation Australia to explore complementary strengths with Melbourne in scientific research and innovation.
