Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE) recently hosted the themed seminar “Unlocking the Job Market: New Productive Forces Empowering a New Future for Hong Kong’s Industries”.
During the seminar, Dr Yung Hoi Wing, Justina, analysed how new quality productive forces are reshaping Hong Kong's economic structure. She explored the development of Hong Kong's I&T ecosystem and the progress of “new industrialisation”, highlighting the critical connections between the government initiatives, institutional support and international collaboration in fostering these productive forces.
Ms Amanda Su introduced Cyberport’s comprehensive innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. She shared insights into how Cyberport facilitates venture capital financing and fosters collaboration among startups, major industry corporations, and government bodies. Additionally, she elaborated on how Cyberport drives Hong Kong’s AI ecosystem and industrial development by providing supercomputing power through its AI Supercomputing Centre, while empowering local and Chinese Mainland enterprises to connect with global markets.
Mr James Sima ushered the audience into a new era of learning from AI. He illustrated the transition from digital humans to AI agent organisations, analysing how AI is becoming a continuously operating content ecosystem. He encouraged incoming talent to seize career opportunities in the AI era and master the ability to harness AI effectively.
At the Q&A session moderated by Mr Tommy Lau, Dr Yung Hoi Wing, Justina, Ms Amanda Su and Mr James Sima exchanged views with talent, offering professional insights into emerging industry trends and Hong Kong's unique advantages. These practical perspectives helped talent explore new career pathways to bolster their long-term development in the city.
